Eye Opener is one of my most personal and oldest compositions written in a time when I was an aspiring composer questioning my work as a Pop Music Engineer. Searching for meaning. Asking big questions. Getting quiet answers.
I still remember when I saw in a newspaper a disturbing picture of a sick African baby being breastfed and looking into the camera with wide-open eyes. The headline of the article was called 'Eye Opener'. It not only touched me but also inspired this work and set me on a new path.
